At the Breaking Point!

Updated: Jun 15, 2019

Crossroads, Decisions, Transitions, Life in General Can Make you Want To JUMP!

The word breaking according to the American heritage dictionary is defined as follows to shatter by force, to weaken, violate, interrupt, to burst forth as a storm to change. The word point is defined as a moment in time, purpose, to show direction or position by extending a finger. Now since we have an understanding of what breaking point is let’s take a moment to chat! Well actually let’s read! Maybe this is where you are in your life right now At The Breaking Point or maybe this is a place where you have been before nonetheless I believe somehow you are able to relate.

I love this analogy that I have included in my repertoire. It is the analogy of the storm. Either you are in a storm, just came out of a storm or about to go in a storm! Now wait a minute before you panic! Remember part of the definition for breaking was to burst forth as a storm of change. You see storms has a way of causing people, places and things to come in alignment. As I typing I am reminded of so many times when the storms would come, the rain would seemingly violently fall and the thunder and lightning sounded like it was about to knock the bottom out of the clouds.

Nevertheless when this was going on no matter who you are, what title you may hold or how much money you have you would literally stop in your tracks and reference God! It would go a little like this. God please spare my life. Lord please forgive me of all of my sins. Lord just give me another chance. Storms causes us to acknowledge God. You see when we are at the breaking point we are at the end of ourselves. When our plans have been interrupted and our dreams have seemingly been shattered we are somehow forced to reevaluate and guess what seek God! He is wanting us to die to ourselves, to give up our will and to cast all of our burdens upon him!

The trials and tribulations come to make us stronger which in return makes us wiser and better. When we are weak, God is strong! His strength is made perfect in our weakness. The Apostle Paul said this I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9. Will you pray this prayer right now? Father God in the Name of Jesus, I have had some rough and hard times. It seems like at times I take 5 steps forward and 10 steps back. Today I choose to cast my cares on you because you care and you want me to be at my very best. I need your wisdom for my life. I don’t want to lean to my own understanding because it brings about destructive choices.

Holy Spirit I employ you to work on my behalf. Lead me into the paths of righteousness. Father grant me favor with God and man. Lord cause Restoration to happen for me concerning the things that has been lost. I am ready for change and I declare I am ready to receive it in Jesus name! Amen!
